Fiat-Allis

Fiat-Allis was a historic joint venture founded in 1974 between Fiat and the American company Allis-Chalmers, focused on the production of earthmoving machinery. The goal was to combine Fiat’s industrial expertise with Allis-Chalmers’ technical know-how to create a range of globally competitive products: bulldozers, wheeled and tracked loaders, graders, and excavators (in later stages). Fiat-Allis products are known for their robustness and ability to operate in tough conditions, thanks also to a simple design and relatively easy maintenance.

Over the years, the Fiat-Allis brand was gradually absorbed into the Fiat-Hitachi group (1992), which later evolved into CNH Industrial. Today, Fiat-Allis earthmoving products are part of the legacy of brands such as Case Construction and New Holland Construction.

Although Fiat-Allis no longer exists as a brand, many of its machines are still in use, especially in emerging markets.
